Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations - Take and develop dental x-rays - Perform dental charting and documentation - Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment - Manage inventory of dental supplies and order as needed - Schedule patient appointments and manage the front desk when necessary Requirements:
- Dental assisting experience preferred - Knowledge of pediatric dentistry is a plus - Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control protocols - Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality - Proficient in assisting with dental procedures, including chairside assisting, suctioning, and instrument passing - Experience as a dental receptionist is beneficial - Ability to accurately document medical information using electronic health record systems such as Denticon - Basic understanding of taking vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, etc.
