Shot Blast Operator WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:
Newberry Tanks & Equipment is a fast paced, growing business based in West Memphis, Arkansas.
We are looking for a reliable and experienced individual to join our team.
A successful candidate will efficiently and effectively:
Operate shot blast equipment to prepare steel tanks to receive paint and coatings.
Use quality control tools and gauges to ensure product meets specifications Operate forklift to move and load tank products for shipping Perform basic maintenance and inspection of equipment Keep work area in clean and orderly condition free of hazards Request materials and supplies as needed Adhere to all quality and safety codes
Experience:
Minimum of three years of successful continuous employment in a commercial or industrial setting EDUCATION:
High School diploma/GED required Simple reading and arithmetic such as addition and subtraction of whole numbers and decimals Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations for industrial plant & equipment PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Moderate physical effort; requires standing for entire shift Able to lift up to 60 lbs.
throughout the day Good eye and hand coordination Visual acuity in order to perform tasks successfully Able to climb, stoop, bend to move from forklift and perform various outside activities throughout yard.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
